Athletics in Sacramento

When the Athletics announced their temporary relocation to Sacramento, the organization needed a comprehensive creative system that both honored the team’s legacy and energized a new fanbase. The campaign required rapid execution across multiple platforms including digital assets, merchandise, in-stadium visuals and citywide billboards, while establishing Sacramento as the team's temporary home.

As lead designer, I developed a cohesive design look and feel centered on the Sacramento identity. This included creating a custom Sacramento logo and uniform patch worn on the players' jerseys for the 2025 season, producing season ticket holder campaigns and launch creative for digital platforms, and designing giveaway items that celebrated the city. To connect directly with the new market, I also designed billboards and out-of-home campaigns ensuring visibility and excitement leading into and throughout the season.

Sacramento Uniform Patch

To mark the Athletics’ inaugural season in Sacramento, our design team was tasked with creating a uniform sleeve patch that honored the host city. Collaborating with designer John Lemein, we developed a clean, vintage-inspired mark featuring Sacramento’s iconic Tower Bridge and custom script.

The patch reveal debuted across paid digital and social channels and quickly gained traction as a centerpiece of media coverage celebrating Sacramento’s first MLB team.

Sutter Health Park Branding

Ahead of the 2025 season, our team was tasked with branding a new temporary ballpark, creating an environment that captured the energy of an A’s home game within the logistical limits of a shared venue. I designed large-scale, emotive player banners to anchor each entrance and collaborated with local printers to produce large removable signage and braning throughout the stadium, ensuring a seamless transition between teams while maintaining a home atmosphere during games.
